Ready to Get Started?

Everything you need to know before you book a session.

No surprises. No pressure. Just the information you actually need.

How it works

These 3 steps are all you need to get started.

01

Book a Free 15-Minute Consultation

Pick a time that works for you through the client portal. It takes only a minute and does not require you to fill out anything before we talk.

02

Figure Out If We Are a Good Fit

We have real 15 minute conversation with no pressure. You tell me what has been going on. I tell you how I work. We both decide if it makes sense to move forward.

03

We Build Your Plan & Get Started

If we are a good fit, we schedule your first full session and build a treatment plan around your specific goals from the very beginning. This is where the actual work starts.

What to expect

Here is exactly what sessions are like.

Sessions are 53 to 55 minutes and we meet weekly to start. Consistency matters early on, especially when you are learning and applying new material between sessions.

The first two to three sessions are information gathering. Not treatment yet, just understanding. We go through your history, your relationships, your support system, your stressors, and the full picture of what you are carrying. We will work to explore and identify the full breadth of your anxiety or OCD symptoms.

One of the first things I ask new clients is how they want their life to change related to their symptoms in six months. That question becomes the foundation of your treatment plan and we come back to it throughout our work together. Because progress should be measurable and you deserve to see it happening.

From there, treatment varies depending on what we are working on.

Private Pay Rate Sessions are $145 per session.

Insurance

In Florida, Nikki is in-network with several major insurance plans. In Texas, insurance is accepted depending on your plan. In Virginia, all sessions are private pay.

A note on private pay worth reading even if you have insurance:

Private pay means no insurance company gets to weigh in on your diagnosis, your treatment plan, or how long you stay in therapy. No one outside of this room needs to know what you are working on. Your treatment plan belongs to you. For a lot of people, especially those dealing with something as specific as OCD, that matters more than the copay difference. It is worth thinking about.

Not sure what your insurance covers or whether you want to use it? Reach out and we can figure it out together before you book anything.

HSA and FSA Yes. Sessions are eligible for HSA and FSA reimbursement.

Good Faith Estimate You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of expected costs before services begin. If you are uninsured or paying out of pocket, a written estimate will be provided before your first session. For questions about this, reach out directly.

It is not an interview. It is not a sales call. It is just a real conversation between two people figuring out if working together makes sense.

You will tell me a little about what has been going on. I will tell you how I work, what the process looks like, and what you can realistically expect. If it sounds like a good fit for both of us, we talk about next steps. If it is not the right fit, I will tell you that too and point you toward someone who might be better suited. No awkward non-answers. No vague follow-up emails. Just honesty, which is kind of my whole thing.

The consult is free, takes 15 minutes, and requires zero commitment beyond showing up.

This practice works exclusively with adults. No children, no teens, no couples work.

If you are a parent of an adult child who could use support, please encourage them to reach out directly. It genuinely helps to know they are coming in ready to do the work.

FAQS

"Am I ready for this?"

The consultation call is how you find out. Most people have a pretty clear sense by the end of 15 minutes. If you want to do a little research first, the service pages on this site walk through exactly how I work, what I treat, and what the process looks like. Come to the consult with questions if you have them.

Late cancellations and no-shows are subject to a fee. Nikki goes over the full policy, including the cancellation window and the fee amount, during the informed consent process in the first session. If you have questions before then, just ask.

Availability opens monthly. The best way to get on the schedule before spots fill is to book a consultation as soon as you are ready. If you reach out and there is no immediate availability, you will be notified when the next opening comes up.

Yes. Sessions are eligible for HSA and FSA reimbursement. If you need a superbill for out-of-network reimbursement, that can be provided as well.

Under the No Surprises Act, clients who are uninsured or paying out of pocket have the right to a written estimate of expected costs before services begin. If this applies to you, a Good Faith Estimate will be provided before your first session. Reach out with any questions about this.

The client portal is through Sessions Health at nicolewilliamslcsw.patientsecure.me. You can use it to complete paperwork, manage appointments, and communicate securely. The link is also in the header and footer of this site so you are never hunting for it.

This practice is not a crisis service. If you are in immediate danger or need urgent support, please contact the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline by calling 988 or texting 741741, or go to your nearest emergency room.

That is one of the most common things new clients share, especially people whose previous therapist was not specialized in OCD. The approach here is different in ways that tend to matter. It is worth a 15-minute conversation to find out if it might be different for you too.
